FINES, ETC.
|
| Seems that Mark Vahey misplaced his score card during the R-K Golf Tournament. In the case of the missing pit pass, Kirk Locus hinted ever so subtly that someone knows where it is, but stopped short of any accusations. Kirk is manufacturing a replacement. A gracious George Herren yielded the remaining pit pass to Carol Shama for $23.00. |

PROGRAM NOTES

Quail Summit's Kandy Liguori and Julie Chiccino shared the concept and the reality of Second Wind Dreams, a non-profit group making dreams come true for seniors. The concept itself would warm your heart, but the ladies showed real-life dreams of real-life people...dreams made to happen by Second Wind. We were touched by stories of unusual dreams: a long-retired fireman who wanted to visit his fire house (and ended up with much more); an elderly lady who wanted to play round of golf (and who would NOT let Roc Pietropaolo bend the rules for her!); a private plane ride over Canandaigua Lake; and a Harley Davidson motorcycle ride. Just as touching were the special twists given to family outings, bridge parties, sports events, and reunions. Roc Pietropaolo, an active member of the Advisory Board, shared some of his own experiences.
Rotarians were urged to help with dreams yet to come true, through financial support or by volunteering an activity from our businesses or our hobbies. Contact Kandy Liguori at Quail Summit, 585-396-1010. Thanks, Kandy, Julie and Roc, for the heartwarming tales of senior dreams come true.
