Captain Bob Ginter reported that the local Salvation Army exceeded its 2009 Red Kettle Campaign goal.  He thanked both clubs for their efforts and presented the bell to the K club which  had outraised Rotary by $200.

Mark your calendars, February 28th,  for the Kiwanis and Rotary bowling event with ARC .

Dick McGavern thanked all who sponsored Camp Onseyawa campers.

Margaret Farnsworth became the newest Paul Harris fellow.

Program:
Mark Peterson of Greater Rochester Enterprise described his company's unified approach to regional economic development.  Representing a nine county region, GRE markets our area by stressing its high "intellectual density quotient", its philanthropy and its proximity to 7% of the world's fresh water.
Fines and Happy Dollars:

All monies collected were designated for the camps that the two clubs support.  Kiwanis President, Gail Herman, collected fines from Kiwanians.  President Jack was fined for missing a planning meeting for the AM club.  He also tossed in a happy dollar because his entire family was home for the holidays. Jim Mroczek doubled the donation of a holiday dinner volunteer. Cyndi Wade paid for her election to the City Council and having her picture in the paper.  Paula Triplett wrote checks to both camps and praised Randy and Margaret Farnsworth who have made sixteen make-a-wish wishes come true.  Len Kane crowed about the basketball prowess of his granddaughter.  Tim and Sandy Reed paid for a trip to Florida even though it was a cold one.

Tim Edwards won the 50/50 and donated part of his winnings to the foundation.  Charlie Goodwin did not pull the joker out the deck.

Thought for the Day:
Preparation plus timing equals success.  If you are prepared when your time comes, you will be successful.
