Announcements:

Jack Moran shared decisions made by the Board at its August 12 meeting:

The Board approved a payment to the Malawi Scholarship Fund.

It also approved a capital expenditure of $15,000 to Wood Library in support of a library expansion.  $3000 this year and $3000 each year for the next four years.

The Board discussed a proposal by the new District Governor to establish a new morning club in Canandaigua.  Two representatives of the Club were appointed by the Board to attend District meetings on this topic.  They will report back to the Board.

The District Golf Tournament will be held Friday, September 11 in Lima.  $75 if signed up by September 1.  See Doug Lowden if interested in participating.

The last opportunity to have lunch with campers at Camp Onseyawa will be Thursday, August 27th.  See Joe Kardish if interested.  Also see Joe if you are willing to help with the camp carnival, August 23, or with the breakdown of the camp the following weekend.  Remember, many hands make light work!

Fines:
Scott Kesel was recognized for looking distinguished during a recent appearance on a Rochester television station.  No fine, however, due to the remarkable economy.  An attempt was made to fine Linda  Collins for a recent trip to Oregon.  Although the weather was fine and the wedding she attended very enjoyable, Linda dodged the fine by producing the pit pass.
Happy Dollars:
Ken Poole for Patty's successful completion of an internship.  Fred Magley for a delightful time spent with his daughter and granddaughter.
Remembrances:
All were asked to keep Paul Harris Fellow, Bertha Berryman, in our thoughts.
Induction:

Robert Brozic (PDG Terri Hall sponsor), Donald Raes (Al White and Tom Sheavly sponsors), Paul Minor (Judy Bennett sponsor) and Bob Lambert were inducted into the club.  Make sure you introduce yourselves to our newest members and sign their directories.

Program notes:
Tricia Reddick Carey, Executive Director of the Granger Homestead since 2007, shared information about its history, plans for the future, collections, programs, many fundraising activities and devoted volunteers.
50/50 results:

Christ Leverett failed to pull the joker from the deck.  Steve Uebbing won the 50/50.
