Pia hs moved to the home of Gary and Carol Francis. Adam attended a meeting with the District Governor and enjoyed the company of many other exchange students from the District.

Phil Esce is in intensive care. Chloe Platou is receiving comfort care at Quail Summit. Jim Holden has returned home from Clifton Springs Hospital.

|
The first meeting of the semi monthly morning club took place at Roseland Bowl at 7:00AM. President Jack opened the meeting with a welcome to the 18 attendees. Presiding Officer, Dick McCaughey led the Pledge of Allegiance, the invocation and the opening song.
Jim and Ellie Fralick made a generous donation to the Club to be used for a community project.
The Board approved James Cross, Craig Howard and Jack Kellogg for membership. James and Craig are sponsored by Don Raes and Jack by Kirk Locus. They accepted the resignations of Dan Penise, Bob Andrews and Lorraine Landers. The Board approved charitable donations to St Mary's for a Kenya project ($500), Habitat for Humanity ($1000), and Ontario Yates Hospice ($100).
Mark your calendars: February 11 for the Rotary Valentine's Dinner $30. February 28 - Rotary/Kiwanis bowling match. March 14 - Rotary Bowl-a-thon.
Andy Platou warned club members to delete any email message that allegedly comes from Kevin Denny in England claiming that he needs money. It is a scam.

Will French, Rotary Exchange student in Boden, Sweden 2008-09 and now attending Niagara University spoke about his year in Sweden. He said it was "the best year of my life". He reported on the food, beverages, wonderful people, unusual amounts of light and darkness, the huge amounts of snow, the school system and the many friends he made there.

Paul Minor sold his house in Massachusetts. Len Kane bragged about the excellent performance of this granddaughters college basketball team. Ray Henry's youngest graduated from college. Bob Simpson was glad to be back wtih friends and family. Dick McCaughey enjoyed a trip to NJ with this family at Christmas. Bill Namestnick traveled to Europe with his family. Doug Finch announced his daughter's acceptance at Houghton College with a scholarship. Steve Smythe gave a happy dollar for his son's new home.
