The 7120 Rotary District Conference was held in Oswego, with over 200 in attendance for the 2 1/2 days.

On a picture perfect Saturday the Canandaigua Rotary Club put together a team of highway crew volunteers to walk the trenches of Routes 5 & 20. They may have been seen by their cute hats, reflective gear, colorful orange garbage bags, and their sharp poking sticks.

2022 Halloween was celebrated at the downtown Canandaigua Commons Park.

Our Club had a display at the May 6, 2023 District Conference showing many of our activities this past year.

Just 1 of over a hundred Christmas Trees at the Granger Homestead Festival of Lights. The exhibit is on normally from early November to early December. Patrons can vote on each exhibit and also bid on each exhibit.

Doug Merrill was inducted into the Club. Doug retired from RIT biomedical sciences following 40 years of instruction. He is also a Director for the Canandaigua Lake Watershed Association Board. Doug has been married to Rochester Judge Debra Martin for forty years. They have two grown children, and four plus grandchildren.

The weekly draw from a deck of cards could be a winner of the "50/ 50' if one draws the Joker. In Aug 2022 Gloria Dancause drew that elusive Joker.

A fun "race" held in Kershaw Park turned out to be more fun than a race.

Rotarians from the Canandaigua and Red Jacket Clubs collected items for the K-6th grade BOCES program along with cardboard boxes at the Canandaigua National Bank local offices. Items were collected during the month of February and ranged from easy prep foods to clothing to personal items.

Canandaigua Rotary and Kiwanis Clubs met at Star Cider on the first Friday of June to socialize and get acquainted.

Tracey works for the Partnership for Ontario County.

Canandaigua Churches in Action (CCIA) received a donation to help continue their food pantry and back-pack programs. Pictured are Pastor Lippincott and Club President Mike Schiller.

Many hands helped in order taking, serving, & cooking up hamburgers, cheeseburgers and hot dogs.

The 2023 brought in a lot of past presidents, a lot of money, and a lot of non-food items for Salvation Army distribution, and a lot of awards.

Club donated money back to the CA Music Department to help with the expenses of getting the Chorus ready for the RPO Concert in December.

The Club raised money from the Bumpers and Banjos held at the Sonnenberg Gardens.

The Canandaigua Rotary Club received a citation from Rotary International for meeting at least 13 of its goals. The goals included but not limited to donate money to RI Foundation, projects that were completed, volunteer hours etc. 2022-23 Club President Marty Potter said that the citation really goes to the members since many helped. Significantly, the citation was signed by Jennifer Jones, the 1st female RI President.

Recently, the Canandaigua Rotary Club honored Joe Delforte with a Benefactor Plaque and pin. He earned the honor because he voluntarily pledged to leave a gift to Rotary upon his passing.
